As part of our efforts to promote sign language, we successfully conducted a comprehensive sign language training course for 18 students from Makindye Division, KCCA, including government officials for 3 months.
Upon completing the training, the students embarked on an internship trip to visit various schools for the Deaf and organizations of persons with disabilities in Uganda. This experiential learning opportunity enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of Deaf culture, lifestyle, and experiences, while also interacting with members of the Deaf community.
